The Wall Street Journal recently announced their annual Baseball Hateability Index, an index that measures a team’s “hate-ability” by analyzing 10 contempt-worthy categories, such as drug suspensions, high payroll, and ridiculous beards. The Cards took first place this year, largely attributed to our high scores in one of the major categories — recent success. I’m sure not going to apologize that we’ve won more pennants in the past 10 years than any other team (4). Are you?!
