The Cardinals are Ready to Make Your Dream Come True at Cardinals Fantasy Camp.

Normally, when you get mobbed by your fellow Cardinals after hitting a walk off grand slam to win the World Series, you wake up. Maybe you played a little in college, or maybe you have coached little league before. My guess is that playing alongside Jim Edmonds or Larry Walker would be a dream come true.

Fortunately, the Cardinals actually offer a camp for this. Cardinals Fantasy Camp is the experience of a lifetime for anyone who loves the birds. Not only do you play with legends, you get to look like one too. Every player is given two authentic uniforms to wear, as well as a sweatshirt and even batting gloves.

Compete with Cardinals

This is not just a meet and greet opportunity however. At the camp, you actually play games with the legends as coaches, culminating with playoffs. It is very possible that Tony Larussa manages his team to a perfect game, but if you succeed at all, you can brag to all of your friends that you are just as good as major leaguers.

Although most of these former players you will meet hold a status seemingly unattainable by us mere mortals, they love the game enough to come out and play. They are there to talk baseball, so instead of reading about the the Cardinals or watching highlights, you can actually discuss plays the legends actually made. If you have ever wanted to talk to a Cardinals legend about anything, this is your opportunity to do it.

This is obviously a popular event. Events in early 2018 are already sold out, but possible late 2018 or early 2019 camps may be available. Why sit down and watch MLB Network wearing your Molina jersey when you could instead wear one with your own name on the back? Why go to anymore games at Busch wondering what it’s like to step onto the perfect diamond, when you actually can do just that?

If you’re like us at Cardsblog, you miss baseball. Yes, there is free agency. Yes, we can bring you the news over the offseason, but why not read our newsletter from the comfort of the dugout at Busch Stadium?

At fantasy camp, you actually get drafted as free agents, so in a way, you could be the Giancarlo Stanton of the Fantasy Cardinals. Some Cardinals fans may be skeptical, but it is true. There is a place where you can be a part of the organization that brings so much excitement to the St. Louis area.

Who Can Participate?

Now, there are probably some people that are not confident in their abilities. Maybe you were the stats guy, or the athlete who hurt her knee. Do not worry, of course there is an option for you. The bench coach option is the exact same fantasy experience without playing. You will be present for the team making meetings with the legends, and you will help coach the games. There really is an option for everyone.

Unfortunately for some of our younger readers, the minimum age is 27. This means that eligible fans are the ones who grew up watching players they will actually receive coaching from. Attendees love baseball just as much as you do, and if you can not convince your best friend to come with you, you will have so many pictures and autographs to show when you get home.

With friends and family playing fantasy baseball, the idea might not sound so impressive until you explain how real fantasy baseball works. Instead of watching the Cardinals, you can be a part of the organization. Experts scout you, draft you, and coach you. You could just be the next big thing to come out of Cardinals Nation.

Obviously, the Cardinals are a giving organization as I have discussed in the past. To further illustrate this, some of the proceeds from these events go to Mercy Cardinals Kids Cancer Center in St. Louis. You get to help those who need it most all while living your dream. It is just too perfect.

Until reality crashes down on you and you realize that your spouse and kids still exist. Guess what? You can actually bring them. There are amusement parks and other fun activities all around the facilities in Jupiter Florida’s camp. The family is welcome to attend the games and dinners to watch you strikeout against real Cardinals pitchers. I’m not joking. They want to strike you out.

To conclude: legends, cardinals, charity, baseball. This is the chance to finally stop playing in your backyard. Instead, go play with the Cards.
