Charlie is a 22-year old center fielder, who is rated the 7th best prospect in the St. Louis Cardinals’ organization, according to MLB Pipeline. Many scouts believe that Charlie is a 5-tool prospect, although some critics say that he needs a stronger arm. He was given the following ratings: Hit 50/55, Power 40/45, Speed 65, Glove 60, and Arm 45. Last year, with a full season at the AA level, Charlie batted .295, 43 RBIs and 46 stolen bases. He was a mid-season All-Star at the AA level. With the Cardinals’ set for a long time with a young outfield, it is likely that Charlie will be the 4th or 5th outfielder in rotation. I expect to see Charlie make his way to the MLB by the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019.
