This is a pretty ambitious statement from Scioscia, given that Pujols had one of the worst months of his career last April. Pujols is coming off of the worst statistical year of his life, and rushing him back from injury may not be the best course of action. I’m no medical expert, and it is just a minor knee injury, but it seems like Pujols’ is getting injured more easily and frequently. This is trouble given that the Angles still owe him $228M over the next nine years. Good work, Mr. Mozeliak.
