On Furcal

More on Miller

Certainly the Furcal update is not conforting. Elbows are a nervous area for baseball players and even more discomforting in the case of Furcal. Following his injury in August, Furcal’s team-organized program of rehab and rest went fairly well throughout the offseason. The Cards still expect him to be their starting shortstop in 2013 and the continued recovery of the 35-year old’s right elbow will be a major talking point during the rest of Spring Training.

In the case of Miller, as Steve wrote earlier the injury is “nothing”. He threw with Michael Wacha earlier today, and it appears he is back on track for a bullpen session tomorrow.
