Summary

DOB: 1/6/1996 Throws: R Position: Pitcher Ronnie Williams is a young, raw pitching talent that Cardinals nation should keep on their radar for the coming years. Drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft and coming from MLB’s reviving baseball in inner cities program, Williams has one of the higher ceilings for player’s his age in the system. He has a fastball that can touch mid to upper 90’s, but projects to sit somewhere closer to the 92-94 range. Scouts think that both his curve and change offer plus potential, with some thinking the latter can become plus plus if given time to develop. Perhaps most notable is his fast arm speed. If he can keep that same arm speed with his offspeed pitches, big league hitters have something to fear.
