Saturday News & Notes: Lohse Rumors And Some CardsBlog Notes

Good Morning Cardinal Nation. Here’s what I have for you this morning:

LOHSE RUMORS: John Mozeliak repeated on Friday that the possibility of Kyle Lohse returning to the Cardinals is between very slim and none. I heard recently that Lance Berkman recommended to Texas Rangers GM Jon Daniels that he take a look at Lohse. The Rangers are definitely still looking for starting pitching and they have money to spend. I have said all along that I believe that Texas is where Lohse will end up.

CARDINALS WINTER WARMUP: The Cardinals’ Winter-Warmup is just one week away and there are still opportunities to buy tickets to meet and get autographs from all of your favorite Cardinals. The Winter-Warmup is put on by Cardinals Care, an organization that is dedicated to allowing youths in inner-cities to play baseball.

LATIN AMERICA: Derrick Goold discussed the Cardinals’ recent interest in Latin American players in his Friday column.

CARDSBLOG NOTES: We are undergoing some changes on CardsBlog which is the reason for the lack of posts the past couple of days, not to mention the fact that I’ve been traveling the past few days but now I am back in St. Louis and I will continue to write as we go through these changes. Hope your weekend is off to a nice start — SH
