Good Morning Cardinal Nation. Here’s what I have for you this morning:
LET THE GAMES BEGIN: The Cardinals play their first exhibition game of the Spring this afternoon at 12:10 EST against the Florida Marlins. The game will be broadcast on KMOX. For a full broadcast schedule of all Spring Training games, click here. Trevor Rosenthal will square off against John Maine, but each are only expected to throw around two innings.
The lineup is as follows: Jay cf, Descalso 2b, Holliday lf, Beltran rf, Molina c, Freese 3b, Wigginton dh, Adams 1b, Kozma ss, Rosenthal p
Listen, these games don’t matter. They really don’t. But it’s fun to have baseball back nevertheless. It’s been a long time coming and even if the games count for 100% of nothing, I’m looking forward to sitting down on my couch today and watching some ball. MLB Network is broadcasting over 150 games over the next month or so, and I’m excited to look at other teams and see the kind of improvements they have made over the offseason. Throughout the Spring, CardsBlog will be with you each and every game and will make sure that you can get all of your breaking news right here.
Here are a few recommended links, we will be back with more later in the day:
