Arizona Diamondbacks: Trevor Cahill (9-10; 3.85 ERA)

While Trevor Cahill has had an inconsistent season overall, he has definitely pitched well on the road with a 2.88 ERA.However, in his last start he surrendered four runs and two home runs to the Washington Nationals. He has only faced the Cardinals once in his career, a start in 2010 with the Oakland Athletics in which he received a no-decision.

St. Louis Cardinals: Kyle Lohse  (12-2; 2.72 ERA)

Kyle Lohse will look to continue his dominant season tonight, carrying a 6-1 record and a 2.40 ERA in 11 starts at Busch Stadium. in St. Louis this year. Though he did not receive the win in his last start against the Philadelphia Phillies, he was very solid allowing one run and four hits over seven innings while striking out a season-high seven batters.

Arizona has lost 8 of their past 11 games and are quickly falling behind in this wild card race while the Cardinals are only improving. They have been unable to hit with runners in scoring position as of late (0-for-6 in the series) and have a tough challenge tonight as they go up against Kyle Lohse, who has not tended to allow a lot of base runners at all in his most recent few starts.
