Cincinnati Reds: The 52-40 Reds kick off a three game series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night at Great American Ballpark. 8-2 in their last ten games, the Reds hope to continue to distance themselves from the rest of the division. Homer Bailey gets the start.

Pittsburgh Pirates: The Pirates travel to Miami for the weekend to take on the Miami Marlins. Just a half game behind the Reds, it is entirely possible that the Pirates are atop of this division by the end of the weekend. However, their 22-26 road record is certainly discouraging.

Milwaukee Brewers: The Brewers host the Reds tonight for three games after taking two of three from St. Louis. 7.5 games behind their division rivals, the Brew Crew is trying to make one last dash of trying to get to the .500 hump and potentially gain a spot in this pennant race.

Chicago Cubs: Ryan Dempster and the Cubs come to St. Louis tonight where they will square off against Kyle Lohse. Facing possible trades, Dempster may be in his final audition before being shipped off before the trade deadline.

Houston Astros: After a tough 1-0 loss to the San Diego Padres on Thursday night, the Astros travel out to California on Friday to start a three game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks where Bud Norris gets the nod.
