Pirates: The Pirates lost the rubber game of their series with the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday afternoon by a score of 4-1. They currently sit one game back of the division leading Reds and travel to Colorado tonight to begin a three game set with the Rockies.
Brewers: After taking two of three from the Pirates over the weekend, the Brew Crew begin a three-game series tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Brewers currently sit 8 games behind the division-leading Reds and 7 games behind a wild-card spot.
Cubs: The Cubs are hot as they are winner of five of their last six games including completing a three-game sweep over the Diamondbacks yesterday afternoon. They have the day off on Monday but begin a three game series with the Miami Marlins tomorrow evening.
Astros: After being swept by the San Francisco Giants over the weekend, the Astros fell to 1-10 in the month of July and 33-56 overall, the worst record in the Major Leagues. Tonight, they come home for a seven-game home stand which begins against the Cincinnati Reds.
